From the trendy music label\, Rituals Music\, which she\nco-founded and managed in the 1990s to the ownership of the historic Rhyners’ music store at\nPiarco International Airport\, to artist management\, production of fashion shows and major\nevents\, Lorraine has extensive experience in film production\, artist and event management.\nLorraine has been involved in the phenomenal success of Calypso music icon\, Calypso Rose and\nworks consistently with the team behind Soca music superstar\, Machel Montano while she co-\nmanages the talented\, Nailah Blackman. \nIn 2016\, Lorraine was the line producer of the feature film\, “Bazodee” which opened in over\n130 cinemas across the USA. In 2017\, she was the local fixer for the famous CNN TV series\nAnthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown\, Trinidad\, and in 2018\, the local facilitator for the “Amazing\nRace” CBS TV series\, which aired in October 2020. \nIn 2019\, Lorraine was instrumental in presenting Calypso Rose\, Machel Montano\, and Nailah\nBlackman at Coachella\, one of the world’s top international music festivals and the same year\nthe three artists performed on stage at the world-famous Olympia Concert Hall in Paris\, France.\nLorraine is also a director on the board of FilmTT (the company responsible for the\ndevelopment of the film industry in Trinidad and Tobago).\nLorraine is currently General Manager at C15 Studios Ltd\, a Caribbean cash flow solutions\ncompany servicing the Creative sector.

She is currently the Managing Director of NEX Consulting\, an international consulting firm specializing in development cooperation and international trade reaching the wider Caribbean and supporting different countries’ public and private sectors including Curaçao through its Desk in the Dominican Republic. \nTaiana Mora is the Director of the Dominican Republic Coalition of Services (CSRD) and President of the Latin American Association of Services Exporters (ALES) Board of Directors. She is also vice president of the Dutch-Dominican Chamber of Commerce. \nShe has assisted more than 700 companies and organizations through training\, coaching\, advice\, and international marketing. Through her consultancy\, she has promoted and facilitated the establishment of 5 organizations related to services export. She has extensive experience in the Caribbean\, the US\, and Europe markets. \nShe has participated in multiple training and events related to service export and creative industries in the EU\, WTO\, the Caribbean\, and Latin American countries.  She has also researched service providers and EPA trade agreements and delivered training on the subject matter. She has developed a training and coaching program for service providers that has been seen as an example internationally. \n  \nMs. Mora has postgraduate study in Marketing and graduate study in Communications. He is a respected figure in the politics and finance\nindustry\, with extensive experience in various roles. \nSince April 18th\, 2023\, Mr. Rijna has taken up the role of Special Envoy for the BES islands for\nEU- and UN funding and economic relations with Latin America. In this capacity\, he is\nresponsible for representing the interests of the BES islands in various international forums\,\npromoting economic relations with Latin America\, and securing funding from the European\nUnion and the United Nations for important initiatives in the region.\nBefore he was appointed Special Envoy\, Mr. Rijna served as the Governor of Bonaire\, a position\nhe was appointed to in 2014. \nMr. Rijna obtained his bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance in 1996\, and subsequently\nworked for several private companies in the banking sector between 2004 and 2011. He also\nserved as the executive director of Bon Recycling B.V.\, a waste recycling company in Bonaire\nthat aimed to create awareness among the people of Bonaire about the importance and\nbenefits of recycling. \nThroughout his career\, Mr. Rijna has demonstrated a commitment to public service and a\npassion for improving the lives of those around him. Being on a grey list does\nhave real-world impacts on businesses in those jurisdictions. During the presentation Benno will\nexplain more about the FATF\, the technical compliance with the 40+ Recommendations and the\nfocus on effectiveness\, the FATF evaluation process\, the National Risk Assessment process\, the\nobservation period\, the progress report timelines\, and how the assessors and plenary meet and\ndecide which countries get put on the grey list. Benno will emphasize the importance of certain\nrecommendations and how to prepare as a country for this fourth worldwide evaluation round.\nBenno will conclude with some observations as the Fifth Round commences in 2024\, and the\ncoming years will be challenging again as the assessment process will require information\, data\,\nand statistics over the past years. \nBio Mr. Benno van Leeuwen\, Fraud & Compliance expert\, Forensic Services Caribbean &\nCompliance Services Caribbean \nMr. Benno van Leeuwen held a position at the Central Bank of the Netherlands Antilles and\nlater as a Financial Analyst for The Unusual Transactions Reporting Centre (now known as FIU\nCuraçao) and he was the director of the FIU from 2004-2005. DESCRIPTION:Topic Presentation: \nDeveloping the IT Service Sector into becoming the 4th Economic Pillar for Curaçao \n  \nSpeakers: \nDanilo Zabala \nBlue Nap Americas \n  \nBio Danilo Zabala \nDanilo Zabala is the Chief Operating Officer of Dataplanet N.V.\, doing-business-as\, Blue NAP Americas\, where he oversees the overall operation and strategy of the company.  He became COO in June of 2019. \nPrior to that\, Mr. Zabala served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Blue NAP Americas when he joined the company in May of 2014.  During that time\, he was responsible for all commercial activities within Blue NAP Americas. \nMr. Zabala has over 25 years’ experience in international telecommunications and IT industries.  His last position prior to joining Blue NAP Americas was Chief Commercial Officer at UTS\, the incumbent telecommunications provider in Curacao\, where he led all commercial activities for the entire UTS group of companies.  Previously he was Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at CelPlan Technologies in the United States\, a leading Wireless Engineering company providing advanced telecommunications services to AT&T\, Sprint\, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile USA. Earlier\, Mr. Zabala held the position of Business Development Director at Agilent Technologies in their Wireless Test & Measurement division. At Agilent he was responsible for the commercialization of the entire wireless portfolio in addition to developing an Indirect Sales Channel for the Latin America region.   \nHe has obtained his Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering & Business Management from Florida Institute of Technologies in the United States.
